Rarely will you see coasters like these; and we mean that. The artisans who make these do so through a tedious and time-consuming process, an art form that nearly died out. First, they crush quartz and a few other ingredients and mix them with water to form a dough. Then, they shape the dough into these coasters. Finally, they paint each one individually by hand and then glaze and fire them. The result is truly unique designers on useful coasters!

The neat thing about the company behind these coasters is that it was specifically created to revive this craft and employ artisans in the Jaipur area.

Iznik-style ceramics boasted bright blues and bold design, two things that inspired us. In fact, we turned that inspiration into creative fuel and came up with the design for these quartz candlesticks. Known for its vibrant floral patterns and local Mediterranean hues, Iznik pottery was introduced in Nicaea, Turkey through the 15th and 17th centuries. Each candlestick varies in height and holds a taper candle. Designs may vary slight with each due to their handpainted finish.

znik pottery is named after the town where it was first made, what was once Nicaea, Turkey. Known for vibrant floral patterns and local Mediterranean hues, it first appeared during the 15th to 17th centuries, boasting the same bright blues and bold design that still inspire us. We've turned that inspiration into these quartz candlesticks. Each varies in height and holds a taper candle. Designs may vary slight with each due to their handpainted finish.
